A Word on Timing
Putting off a decision may not seem like a choice, but it is. The difference is that the outcome gets made by default, on someone else’s timing, when the reorg lands or the role fills. Making an informed decision is the alternative. Make the call clear-headed and intentional, while you still have room to choose.

What if the answer is "stay where I am"?
Staying with intention — renegotiated scope, restored boundaries, a growth plan — is a completely different outcome than staying by default. Not every crossroads ends in a move.
